Welcome to the Basic Course on the DIR®/Floortime™ Model.

We are looking forward to the participation of professionals and parents from all 50 states and more than 40 countries around the world and we are excited that this conference is reaching so many of you who have not been able to attend the Basic Course on the DIR/Floortime Model previously.

Please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the conference site. You will find a brief explanation of how the site is organized below. We encourage you to come back as many times as you would like between now and 9:00 pm Eastern Time on Friday, May 9.

Here's how our site is organized.

You will notice Menus on both the left and right sides of this screen. The left side contains administrative functions. For instance, if you decide, during the conference, that you'd like to Add the Post-Conference Workshop on Regulatory Sensory Processing Disorders to your registration, you can do that here. If you need help during the conference, first take a look at the listings under System Requirements and Technical Troubleshooting to see if you can find the answer to your problem. If you still need help, you can Contact Us. And, when you are finished for the day, here's where you log out.

Also on the left side, you will see your email address and underneath, Post to Interactive Forum. When you click here, you will be able to add a topic to our Interactive Forum. The Forum is a virtual hallway or "meeting place" where you can connect and interact with over 2500 conference attendees from across the U.S. and around the world. Use this space to initiate discussions and ask questions of other participants. This space is for conference registrants to interact with each other. If you have questions about the course content that you would like to direct to Dr. Greenspan, go to Ask Dr. Greenspan on the right menu.

All the items on the right side pertain to the Online Conference. Here is where you will access the conference lectures and handouts. Click on Conference Video Lectures and a list of the lectures will appear. You can view each of the conference lectures as many times as you would like during the two weeks that the conference is offered. Included in the video lectures will be several short quizzes as well as the final Mastery Test Video.

Dr. Greenspan has added several audio lectures that you can listen to now or download to listen to at your leisure. While these audio lectures are recommended, the material they cover will not be included in the Mastery Test.

All of the Conference Handouts are posted at the link on the right side. The first few items you see are a list of books that Dr. Greenspan recommends. Clicking on one of the listed publications will take you to a site where you can purchase that book. The handouts are listed according to the lecture to which they correspond. At the end of the list of handouts you will find instructions for taking the Mastery Test as well as a hard copy of the test that you can print out and refer to as you watch the Mastery Test videos.

A short online Course Evaluation can be accessed at the end of the list of handouts as well as from the right hand menu. We hope you will complete the form as your comments will help us improve the course in the future. When you have finished the evaluation, you will be given directions to print your Certificate of Attendance.

If you would like to Ask Dr. Greenspan a question about the content of the course, post the question here. He will respond with collective answers to common questions in audio files that will be posted at intervals during the online course under Hear Dr. Greenspan's responses. Please understand that Dr. Greenspan will not be able to respond to questions that do not pertain to the content of the Basic Course on the DIR®/Floortime™ Model.

We hope you enjoy the online conference and want to thank you for your participation
