Courses for Parents and Professionals
The Professional Course is more technical and targeted to those who want in-depth discussions. The Parent Course, NEW this year and developed at the request of parents, focuses on information that busy parents can use quickly. It includes all the elements of the professional course but focuses less on the theoretical model and more on the Floortime intervention.

Since Dr. Greenspan developed Floortime, it has helped countless children and families overcome challenges such as Autism, ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder, developmental delays, and many other diagnoses. Many child development professionals nationwide have been trained in and practice the Greenspan Floortime Approach with their clients.
The Greenspan Floortime Approach™ for Parents (6 hours)
The course for parents includes 6 hours of audio and video instruction to help you understand and work through your child’s developmental challenges. You will learn how emotional, cognitive, social, and motor functioning fit together, and what that means for your child. Then you will learn how to observe and identify your child’s individual developmental challenges. Finally, you will learn Floortime techniques to help your child learn to communicate, relate, and overcome their weaknesses. We’ll also discuss the research behind why this approach works, including several studies that show children’s significant advances in interacting through using Floortime.
The Floortime course is offered 24/7 and is available for 90 days from when you register. Log-in as often as you like during that time to watch as many times as you like.
The Greenspan Floortime Approach™ for Professionals (11 hours)
The professional course examines the DIR Model, which explains a child’s developmental stages and individual differences and the role emotion plays in a child’s development. It also presents an in-depth presentation on the Greenspan Floortime Approach™, with the developmentally appropriate interactions, interventions, and practices geared to each child’s developmental profile. Various interventions for special challenges, such as aggression, avoidant behavior, sleep problems, compulsive rituals are included.
Upon completion of the course, there is an optional free mastery test and documentation of mastery. For Professionals, the Greenspan Floortime Approach course may qualify for Continuing Education Credits.
